Crimp beads are metal beads used at the end of a necklace or bracelet to tie the threads or metal wires which are otherwise not easy to work with hand knots

Crimp beads do not have a substitute, though there are different types of crimp beads such as clamshell, round, tube or ribbon crimp beads, the only substitute is hand knot [ though its not effective accept for threads or cotton cords]

No crimp beads do not work on threads

Crimp tubes are longer and used when the weight of necklace or trying cord is heavy else for normal closure crimp round beads are sufficient
